Join us at the Laing for an evening of performance art from artists Maria Abbott and Sarah Grundy alongside the launch of a zine, both in response to the exhibition (S)he. Refreshments will be provided and the exhibition space will be available to browse after hours.

22 Curators are calling for submissions of short personal statements and responses from those who identify as female artists. We are interested in collecting thoughts, feelings and experiences of those forging a career in the art world. These will be displayed in The Laing Art Gallery as part of the exhibition (S)he.

An afternoon of discussion surrounding women and art.

A forum will be held among the artworks in the Exhibition Gallery.

Join us for talks on gender constructs and stereotyping, corrective feminist curatorial practice and a panel discussion of early career artists. We hope the event will be an opportunity to meet like-minded people and discuss poignant issues in contemporary culture.
